  • Depending on the family, their circumstances, preferences, and how many interviews they conduct, this process can typically range from 2 to 4 weeks.

  • The Sitter Society is a community of respectful, confidential, and trustworthy caregivers held in the highest regard. A confidentiality clause is written into every contract, as well.

  • A full-time sitter will typically work 30-40 hours per week. An approximation of the schedule will be outlined in the contract. Sitters will typically have one to two full days off per week.

  • Since opening our doors in 2023, we've built a strong network of sitters and applicants through social media, marketing, college campus recruiting, and referrals. Drawing on our own experiences, we know exactly what to look for in an ideal candidate.

  • Your sitter will assist with a variety of tasks related to the children, such as light cooking, tidying play areas and bedrooms, helping with children's laundry, and transporting kids to and from activities. Responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of each family.

For Sitters

  • Long-term sitters who sign a 12-month contract will receive at least one week of paid vacation time.

    As for regular time off, your hours and days off will be determined by the family's needs, which will be discussed during the interview process and solidified in the contract.

  • Full-time sitters typically work 30-40 hours per week.

  • You are free to do as you please on your time off. We urge you to explore and invest into your area. Take work out classes, go to local cafes, try the new restaurants, meet new people. When you are with the children, be present and excited, and when you are off-duty, absolutely take time for yourself. Enjoy!
